Château Peyredoulle
AOP BLAYE COTES DE BORDEAUX
Located in Berson, on one of the best clay-limestone hilltops in the Blayais region, the Château Peyredoulle vineyard, whose name means “Pierre Dure” in the local patois, covers 20 hectares.
Its history dates from the 16th century. It was then the property of the family of the famous Italian philosopher and humanist, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. In 1685, it was sold to the Lavergne family, who kept it for two hundred years. Of the original building, only a square lodge covered with a gable remains.
The ideal exposure of the vineyard allows the Merlot to reveal all its aromatic potential. As for the Malbec, it gives the wine of Château Peyredoulle all its uniqueness.
