Château Bois Pertuis

AOP BORDEAUX

From the Latin word “pertus” meaning “hole” or “passage way”, Château Bois Pertuis gets its name from the neighbouring Forêt de Double, very famous for its stave oaks used to make barrels and in the naval shipyards on the Atlantic in the 18th century. In this region, 20 kilometres to the north of Saint-Émilion, once called “Les Hauts de Saint-Émilion”, cultivation of the vine is an ancestral activity.

The Château’s vineyard flourishes on a very high quality terroir. Composed of gravel, sand and clay, this terroir endows the wine with all of its finesse and richness. The grapes are meticulously sorted by hand in order to select only the very best bunches.
