Château de Courteillac

AOP BORDEAUX

Château de Courteillac, built in the 16th century and located to the south of Saint-Émilion close to the Dordogne, enjoys a privileged situation: part of the vineyard is situated in the place named Courteillac, on one of the highest outcrops of white stone in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, 70 metres above sea level. This geographical location enables the Merlot and Cabernet Franc grape varieties to make the most of the arid land and guarantee optimal growth.

With a geology identical to that of the Saint-Émilion plateau, the estate is made up of clay and limestone soil and a limestone subsoil. For four generations, Château de Courteillac has been run by the same family, the Rayne Family.
