Historically owned by the Marcelis family, passionated about viticulture, Château Moutinot is today led by the Helfrich family.
Château Moutinot is situated in Saint-Estèphe, in the north of the Médoc peninsular, equidistant from the Pointe de Grave and Bordeaux. The appellation is separated from Pauillac by just a simple stream. At this point, the Gironde estuary is one of the widest in Europe. The wind, a boon for the vines, brings in a particular saline air. In spring and summer, the sun’s rays dance between the vines and warm up the gravel.
