Since 1980, it has been the property of Marie-Claire Deffarge, a woman passionate about wine and viticulture. The wine from Château Perthus was once sold by the Cave Coopérative of Bourg Tauriac. Since 2014, the Château Perthus vineyard has been overseen by the oenology teams from the Helfrich Family.

The south-facing Château Perthus vineyard enjoys ideal exposure highly conducive to the quality of the wine. The clay and loam terroir produces rich, supple and colourful wines.
