Château Timberlay
AOP BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR
Château Timberlay
AOP BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR
Built in 1366, during the Hundred Years War, at a time when Aquitaine was still under English domination, and destroyed during the French Revolution, the Château was rebuilt according to the original plans and fully restored after the Second World War.
Surrounded by vines, the beautiful building is aptly reflected in the ornamental pool that lies opposite. The sun from the south-west illuminates its golden stone façades, so typical of the Bordeaux region.
Chance or intention? Château Timberlay lies on the exact line of the 45th parallel, endowing it with an ideal site for a vineyard of great quality.
